About us

Who we are

Compared with other District Associations in the Cambrian and Wyvern Region of the Camping and Caravanning Club, Gwent DA is quite small. The DA, was formed in 1978 and nestles just inside the Welsh border and has some of the most beautiful countryside in the whole of Wales.  Although we do cross the border into England for some of our events.

We offer four night meets, although if members can only come along on a weekend due to work commitments then that is quite acceptable. All these meets are within close proximity to places of outstanding natural beauty and close to places of interest.

To enable us to continue offering meets and temporary holiday sites we are always looking for members who would be willing to steward.  For more information take a look at our stewarding page or get in touch via our Contact page.

Being part of a camping community also opens doors to new camping locations, insider knowledge on the best spots to visit, and a sense of belonging to a supportive and welcoming group. Whether you are a seasoned camper or a beginner looking to embark on new adventures, joining a camping community in the UK enriches the overall camping experience and creates a sense of camaraderie that makes every trip more enjoyable.
